Cress Funeral Home & Cremation Services - WaunakeeJames David Siddell, age 66, passed away peacefully at his home in Waunakee, Wisconsin on November 29, 2025. Jim was born on July 23, 1959 to Walt and Linda Siddell in Breese, Illinois. He married his high school sweetheart, Carla Kellermann, on November 8, 1980, in Carlyle, Illinois.
Jim grew up in Huey, Illinois milking cows and doing chores on the family farm by day and playing baseball with siblings and cousins until the sun went down. Later he farmed his own farm in rural Carlyle, Illinois as well as working the family farm. He left farming to pursue a new career by relocating his family of 5 to Southern Arizona where he earned his degree in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering at the University of Arizona in Tucson. His degree took his family of 7 to Waunakee, Wisconsin where he was employed in the dairy industry for Germania/DeLaval and Boumatic.
When Jim wasn’t working, he spent his time doing the things he loved. He enjoyed tending his vegetable garden as well as many flower beds. He spent time building wood projects in the garage. Coaching his kids’ baseball teams when they were young was a passion of his as well as playing softball with the guys and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. He was a big fan of his grandchildren’s many activities. Traveling with family and friends took him to many different destinations across the world. Cruising was his favorite mode of travel.
Jim was a devoted husband and father and an amazing Papa to his 6 grandchildren. Family meant everything to him.
Jim is survived by his wife, Carla, his children, Kenneth Siddell, Alyssa and husband Bowen Best, Carl and wife Brooke Siddell, Dean Siddell and Neal Siddell.
