Obituary of James Hamilton Sorensen
James Sorensen of Minneapolis, Minnesota passed away on Monday, October 28th, 2024 at the age of 91. He was born on September 30th, 1933 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
For most of his working years, James worked in the automobile sales industry with most of his years spent at Lupient Buick GMC in Golden Valley. James loved finding just the right vehicle for his clients and because of his attention to detail, they continued to return whenever they needed a new vehicle.
James enjoyed bowling, golfing, cribbage, his monthly poker game group, sitting in the backyard admiring his garden and sharing a conversation over a cup of coffee. He had fun being the lookout person for his hunting party, just hanging out in the deer stand with a hot cup of coffee and his wife's delicious cookies. He loved taking road trips with good friends Bob and Lolly and treating his grandkids and great-grandkids to ice cream. James enjoyed family celebrations, especially his birthday, and watching his daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and experience life.
James was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Florence and brothers Donald, Gerald and Harold (Joe). He is survived by his loving wife Carole of 69 years; his daughters Cynthia Hunter (John) and Lori Ramsburg (Todd); granddaughters Sarah Debevec (Josh), Jenny Schultz
(Michael), Alaina Johnson (Tom) and grandson James Ramsburg; great-grandchildren Hunter, Alvin, Millie, Ruthie, Theodore, Lincoln, Toren and Berit.
