James B. Stapleton

James B. Stapleton, 83, of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at his home in Punta Gorda. James was born March 24, 1930 in Flint, Michigan. He was a Korean War veteran who served in the US Army. James was a most interesting man of the world, a husband, father and grandfather; he will forever be missed by all who loved and knew him. He is survived by his children, Michael J. Stapleton of Park Forest, IL, Elizabeth M. (Dean Hadjian) Stapleton of Chicago, IL, Margarita D. (Dave) Wallinga of Naperville, IL, Kathleen A. (Steve) Michelson of Kendall, WI, Patricia E. Schomacker of Ft. Myers, FL and Monica L. (daughters, Audra and Mary Ann) LaCroix of Punta Gorda, FL and Anthony K. (Beatriz) Stapleton of Ottawa, Canada and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 39 years, Mary Ann Stapleton. A Private Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Indian Springs Cemetery in Punta Gorda, Florida.
