James Storey Obituary

James "Blue" or "Papaw" Storey

Born: June 10, 1947 | Died: October 27, 2025

James Storey, better known as "Blue" or "Papaw," found his way into the arms of angels in the early hours of October 27 at the age of 78. He is now reunited with his son, Rob, and daughter, Dawn, among other cherished family members including Dorothea and Rogers Chastain. He is watching over his wife, Anita, his granddaughters, Logan (Alex), Harley (Hunter), Jayley (Billy), and Eden (Owen), and his great granddaughters, Drakeley and Violet. Although he was most proud of his family, he took pride in his 60 years of service at Arconic, formally ALCOA, and he served as President of Local 309 for a number of years.

Friends may stop by the funeral home from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 1, 2025, to sign the guest register at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. The family invites you to a graveside service led by Chris Pass and Terry Wilson at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Clark's Grove Cemetery. He loved a car show and we invite you to bring your hot rods in remembrance.
