I remember Jim very well...having Mr. Novosel for PSSC Physics was challenging, but with Jim in class, he added to the lectures to make things interesting...reading his life accomplishments, I feel very humbled yet honored to have had some time to know him....he was a genuine "Mendel Man"...

To the Stoynoff Family
Stephane and I were very saddened to hear about the passing of James Stoynoff. James was a first rate and gifted gentleman, successful and dynamic businessman, talented musician, and devoted family man. I have fond memories of James's performances at my brothers weddings and Greek American events in the Chicagoland area. He was an exemplary human being dedicated to fostering better relations between Greece and Turkey and the respective communities in the United States. He was the ultimate optimist who saw good in every person and did his best to enrich our communities with talents, generosity, service to others, treasures, and love for his fellow human being.
Our condolences to the Stoynoff Family and James's loved ones as we remember this truly remarkable person who left an outstanding example for all of us to follow. The Lord has called home a truly exceptional and kind person.
His memory be eternal as he rests with the Angels in the Lords Gallery.
God be with all of you.

I knew Jim from the Class of '66. He and I had several Honors classes together. His wit was incomparable. No matter the situation Jim always had something pertinent to say. I'm sure his wife and children known that better than I. Godspeed, Jim. You did great work on this planet and were a true Mendel Man. Godspeed, sir.
