James Strahl Obituary
James worked as a project manager in finance for several years before retiring in 2017. He enjoyed helping people any way he could, loved being a grandfather, and enjoyed doing Papaw magic tricks.
He is survived by his wife, Sharlene Strahl; sons, Nicholas Strahl and Alexander (Brittany) Strahl; three grandchildren, Abram Witten, Dalton Strahl, and Conor Strahl; brother, William S. (Peggy) Strahl; sisters, Jeanette (Stan) Sundheimer, Kolleen (Derek) Potter, and Lynne Strahl; and stepmother, Joyce Ondejko. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jon Wayne Strahl; father-in law, Chalmers R. Bailey; and brother-in-law, Dennis Bailey.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 1:30 p.m. Mike Faulk will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
