In Loving Memory of James David Suggs

1956 - 2025

James David Suggs passed away on November 6, 2025, in the city he loved - Fort Worth, Texas. Born and raised in Fort Worth, James carried the spirit of his hometown with him throughout his life.

James had a deep passion for animals and found joy and peace in being outdoors, especially when cutting trees and working with his hands. He also had a great passion for music, especially playing guitar. He was known for his outgoing personality, quick wit, intelligence, and the loving heart he showed to everyone around him.

Above all, James was devoted to his family. He leaves behind his two daughters, Rachel Suggs and Victoria Suggs, who were the pride of his life. He is also survived by his three beloved grandchildren— Kaisyn, Kinley, and Leilani– As well as his sisters, Ruth and Ann, who will forever cherish his memory.

James will be having a graveside service, Wednesday, December 10th, 2025 @ 2:00 PM at Azleland Memorial Park, located at 850 N. Cardinal Rd, Azle TX 76020. All are welcome to come and celebrate the life and legacy of James.

A message that reflects James’ spirit and the way he lived his life:

“If I leave here tomorrow

Would you still remember me?

For I must be traveling on, now

‘Cause there’s too many places I’ve got to see.

But if I stay here with you, girl

Things just couldn’t be the same

‘Cause I’m free as a bird now

And this bird you cannot change!”
