James Allen “Jimmy” Sutton
James Allen “Jimmy” Sutton, 75, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Wisteria Gardens in Pearl, MS. Visitation will begin at 9:30am Monday, June 10, 2024, until the service at 11:00am at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Burial will follow at Glenwood Memorial Park in Richland, MS.
Jimmy was born in Jackson, MS on January 29, 1949, to James W. H. Sutton and Edna Lee Heard Sutton. He was a member of Park Place Baptist Church in Pearl, MS. Jimmy was a 32nd degree Mason at Tyrian Lodge #427 in Brandon, Wahabi Shriner, York Rite, Scottish Rite and Order of the Eastern Star # 269 in Brandon, MS.
Jimmy retired in 2000 from Asbestos Workers Local #114 in Jackson, MS. His family was his whole world to whom he was very dedicated and loved them dearly.
Survivors include his son, James Ray Sutton (Dawn); daughter, Marci McCollum (Danny); sister, Diane Croxton (Stan); brother, William E. Sutton (Pamela M); grandchildren, Joshua McCollum, Madison Sutton, and Brendan McCollum; one great grandchild, Oliver McCollum; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda McKay Sutton and his parents, James and Edna Sutton.
