James Taylor Obituary

He was born on January 7, 1964, in Knoxville, TN to parents, James Taylor Sr. and Jewell Marie Jones.
James was a man whose life was defined by the love he shared and the respect he earned from all who knew him.
James attended college where he then had a successful career as a skilled carpenter and welder. He was also known for his love of fishing and his interest in cars.
He was preceded in death by his father, James R. Taylor Sr.; his grandparents, Ernest and Hester Taylor, James P. and Marie Jones, as well as six uncles and four aunts.
He is survived by his mother, Jewell Jones Brown, his brothers Jason and Jeremy Taylor, and a very special friend Cindy Adkins.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 2:00pm at Oak Ridge Memorial Park(1501 Bethel Valley Rd, Oak Ridge, TN 37830). To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of James, please visit our floral store.
