james gave me my first haircut as a young boy..he would prop me up in 0n a booster seat in the big barber chair and we mostly got crewcuts in the 60,s but toonie could style and cut hair with the best..He always knew everyones first name and my dad loved him like a brother..rip jimmy...i can still see your face as i pass the old shop on Delaware st..and your partner Glen Waters also..I was blessed enough to meet you again in early 80,s as we both worked as gaurds forUncle Ernie Spences Security Service..And Danny Plumley was a friend to us in theBaldton neighborhood during our youth years..god bless you all.Great memories.. When I started 1st grade at St Peter's in 1963 my father and brothers all got their haircuts on Saturdays at Jimmy's shop..back then we got the dreaded crewcut from the guy in the white smoc we knew only as tuney!! ..he loved what he did best...cutting hair n talking to everyone in the on deck chairs..he knew everyone by first names even all 9 of my siblings .we was a new castle icon and will be missed by us all Jeff Gordon n family. Our deepest sympathy to all .
