Jim will also be dearly missed by his seven grandchildren, Jessica Beth Edmund (husband Frank Edmund), John Edward Patterson (wife Casey Patterson), Andrew Wesley Dodson (wife Bethany Dodson), Kasie Lauren Jenney (husband Patrick Fancher), Sarah Elizabeth Wright (husband Justin Wright), Amanda Mae Lowther, and Emma Michelle Jenney; his nine great grandchildren, Kiley Lynn Ospina, Jacob Kevin Ospina, Harper Nicole Patterson, Ellie Kathryn Wright, Avery Elizabeth Wright, Kinsey Grace Edmund, Olivia Parker Fancher, Lily Kathryn Patterson, and Levi Andrew Dodson; two nephews, Melvin Perryman, Jr. and Donny Thorton; and two nieces, Sandra Perryman and Pamela Thorstenberg.

Jim was born in Port Arthur Texas in 1944. His family moved to Cypress when he was in elementary school. His family lived on and operated a dairy farm which made for great childhood memories.

Jim attended Cy Fair High School with his older brother and sister. He was an excellent student who was active in baseball and band.

Jim graduated in 1962 and went on to have a successful career as a machinist and within 15 years shortly thereafter he met the love of his life Renee and within three months they were married, joining their families together.

After retirement Jim became very involved in his church full-time teaching Sunday school, singing in the choir, and cooking for congregation gatherings, always thoughtful and generous with his time and those around him.

Jim truly enjoyed playing his favorite game of dominoes with friends and cherished times making memories with his family and grandchildren.
