James Tryba Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by John J. Buettgen Funeral Home - Schofield on Jul. 15, 2025.
James Daniel Tryba, a beloved figure to many, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025, at Marshfield Medical Center in Weston, Wisconsin.

James was born on August 26, 1952, in Wausau, Wisconsin, where he was raised by his loving parents, Joseph and Adeline Tryba. After graduating from DC Everest High School in 1971, he embraced a life filled with rich experiences and deep connections in the heart of Wisconsin. His warm demeanor and friendly spirit attracted a wide circle of friends and family who cherished his company.

In his free time, James found joy and fulfillment in outdoor pursuits. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, often spending serene afternoons embracing the beauty of nature. His passion for working on the farm not only connected him to the land but also allowed him to cultivate a legacy of hard work and dedication that he passed down to those who knew him.

James is survived by his devoted sister, Christine Jandrt, and his three brothers: Wayne, Gary, and Larry Tryba. He shared a special bond with his mother, Adeline Tryba, and will be remembered fondly by numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Tryba, and two sisters, Sandra Alsteen and Karen Tryba, whose memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family.

In honor of James's life, a memorial service will be held at John J. Buettgen Funeral Home in Schofield, Wisconsin, on August 13th, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. A heartfelt prayer service will follow at 12:30 PM.

We invite all who knew him to join us in celebrating the remarkable life of James Daniel Tryba, who touched the lives of many with his kindness and passion.
