Dear Violet Family,
It was a great blessing to have known Dr. Violet. As a nurse caring for his patients, I can tell you he was a rare bird and we enjoyed every minute we spent with him. He had a way of brightening our mornings after a long night shift. He would come to the unit with some wacky tie on and it always had an interesting story behind it. He usually had a funny dog story or a deer tale that occurred around his home. We enjoyed driving by the home to see the Christmas lights that he took such pride in. His resting time has come. God bless and comfort you all.

"But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep." (1 Thessalonians 4: 13-14, ESV)

Peace be With You,
Sandy Kohler RN

Dr Violet treated my son for a football injury. I remember hm to be a very caring and compassionate fine doctor. May his family find solace in their memories. I have had the pleasure of knowing his mother, Thelma Violet, she is a wonderful graceful lady and I think he inherited her kindness.

My sincere condolences to the family of Dr. Violet. Although I did not know him personally, as a high school athlete back in the 70's, I was very aware of his excellent and skilled reputation as an orthopedic surgeon. Everyone I knew that required orthopedic surgery, they were certainly comforted knowing that Dr. Violet would be taking care of them. Very sorry to learn of his passing.

My heart is saddened by reading this obituary. My sympathy to all the family. I can say from my heart Dr. Violet was met at the doors of Heaven by Ed and Sarah Mallett, Lou and Anita Venditti and Clem and Margaret Walent. They worked for many years with the OHSAA football North and South teams and Ohio High school Football coaches. Dr. Violet was not only highly respected but loved as well. So take heart he is joining friends who will watch over him.

Doc Violet was a great sports doctor . He always did more for the athletes that he treated. I always would look for him down at the OHSAA State Wrestling finals to shake his hand and thank him for his service to the Ohio Wrestling. A friend to all. RIP our friend.

Jim you were one special man who always knew how to make others smile, and many times, make me laugh with your witty sense of humor. When I had yours and Darlene's home listed for sale on Perry Dr, you told me several times, "make sure you tell buyers that I stay with the house." I would return the humor and say, "Doc remember I'm trying to SELL the house." I adored you and only wish you knew just how much. Everyone that knew you thought the world of you and I will repeat the well-known saying, Heaven gained another angel as that's exactly what you were here on earth, an angel. We will see each other again one day. Love and miss you,

Ruthanne & Ron
