James Walkowiak Obituary

James Harry Walkowiak

It is with heavy hearts and profound

sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, James Harry

Walkowiak, 91, who departed this world peacefully on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

He was a devoted husband to Gloria for 61 years; loving father; “Papa Boat” grandfather; and great-grandfather. He served in US Army and was an engineer at Honeywell for 33 years. His retirement years were spent doing what he loved – boating and fishing with family and friends.

Jim is survived by his four daughters, Linda (Tony Mass), Kari (Bob Berg), Amy (Curtis Newborn), and Jodi (Dan Gac); plus eight grandchildren and four great-grandsons.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at St. Raymond de Penafort Church, 301 S. I-Oka, Mt. Prospect, IL. Visitation: 10am. Mass: 11am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Raymond Church.
