My grandfather was also called Jim Walsh. His gravestone reads "He lived for those he loved, and those who loved remember". I hope you remember your Jim well xxx

In remembrance....

I've been given Jim's name as part of a tribute to 9-11. It's hard not to cry when reading his story. In words he reminds me so much of my own family. My own uncles who are either living or also deceased. I hope my blog is a good and fitting tribute for this wondeful person. When my grandfather died I realized after the tears how lucky I was to know and be in my grandfather's life. I hope the same is true for all of you. God Bless.

I was a classmate of Jim's at Westfield High School and I want to express my sincerest condolences to his family and loved ones. I'm sad to say I didn't know Jim too well back in school (although I absolutely remember him) but he was clearly an incredibly warm and loving family man and I am so saddened by his senseless loss in that horrible attack.

Dear Farmily:

On the Anniverary of Setp. 11, my school held a memmorial service for all who had died. All week I had griped about having to wear my official dress(FFA) all day in the Texas heat. But on that day, the sacrifice of sweating seemed minimal. I am writing in this guest book to let you know that your Jimmy is an angel. At school they also handed out angels with a name on them. I found James Walsh laying on the ground, picked him up, dusted him off and placed him on the jacket. I wanted to tell you that I will pray for him, and his family, and to tell ya'll that he is an angel to me.

Jim is in my thoughts everyday, I cannot hear a Springsteen song or watch a Giants game without thinking about him.We will always remember you and the Westfield days.

As tomorrow the one year anniversary looms, I wanted to send my deepest sympathy and love to you and your family for having lost your husband and father. May you feel peace in knowing they cannot take away your love and memories. As a Scotch Plains resident, if there is ever anything you and your family needs, please just ask. We are all in this together. Much love and peace.

Jim and I went to Roosevelt Junior High and Westfield Senior High School together. He was one of the "good guys." I pray that GOD'S PEACE will rest upon his family, to provide them comfort during this most difficult of times. May the grace of our Lord and Saviour Jesus be with you all.

I knew Jim a long time ago back when we were at King's College in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Remembering him as always being the life of the party, I can be sure that he brought smiles and happiness to whoever he touched for the rest of his life. My condolences go out to his wife, daughter, and the rest of his family. God has a special place for Jim!!
