James WATSON Obituary
James Watson Jr., 79, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, at INOVA Alexandria Hospital.
He was born on October 5, 1947.
James (junior) was preceded in death by his father Reverend James Watson Sr.; his mom Eva Watson; his sister Emily Watson; his sister Hattie Varner Simmons and brother Robert Lee Watson. He is survived by his loving family, including daughter LaRhonda (Ronnie) Morrow Drummond; and husband Jamon Drummond; his granddaughters Ariana Gregg and Ava Drummond; his great grandson Rowan Cobb; his sister Vermell Brown and brother Thomas Watson, as well as host of nieces and nephews.
James loved his family and time shared together. He will be remembered for his story telling about memories from the past. He had a huge passion for the Lord and church. He enjoyed reading his bible and offering words of encouragement. His favorite quote was to say, "Life is to be Enjoyed".
A memorial celebration of his life will be held on March 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Direct Cremation Services of Virginia. Family and friends are invited to attend and honor his memory.
