JAMES WEISHAAR James R. Weishaar, 92, of Browning, IL passed away Monday, November 17, 2025, at Rushville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rushville, IL. He was born July 30, 1933, in Browning, IL the son of the late Frank and Isla Lane Weishaar. He married Ruby Lawson June 11, 1955, in Beardstown, IL. Ruby passed away February 7, 2017. Jim is survived by (1) son, Jimmy Dale Weishaar (Barb) of Virginia, IL; (2) daughters, Brenda Sue Weishaar of Rushville, IL and Pamela Dee McNeely (Phillip Clem) of Rushville, IL; (3) grandchildren, Jared Logsdon, Shelby Hutchison (Stuart), and Lindsey Reynolds (Thomas); (2) great grandsons, Bently Hutchison and Lawson Reynolds; and (1) sister Peggy Stambaugh of Beardstown, IL; (2) sisters-in-law, Fanny Weishaar of Beardstown, IL and Rethyle Woods of Beardstown, IL. He was preceded in death by; (1) brother Alfred Weishaar; and (2) sisters, Betty Winston and Wanda Weishaar. He worked as a Pump House Operator for Crane Creek Drainage District, Farmers Terminal Grain, Bluff Spring Elevator, Illi Co Oil Company and was a commercial fishman all his life selling fish at the Farmers Market in Rushville, IL. Jim was a member of Rushville Masonic Lodge AF &AM No 9, Rushville Oddfellows and the Commercial Fishing Association. He loved Sprint Car Racing and fishing. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 21st at 12 noon at the Worthington Funeral Home with Brother Matt Haberman officiating. Interment will follow at the Browning Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am till time of service on Friday. Memorials may be given to the Browning Senior Center or the Cass-Schuyler Area Hospice.
