In Loving Memory of James Werkley, Jr.
Jim Werkley Jr., age 66, passed away unexpectedly on November 10, 2025 of natural causes. His sudden passing has left a deep ache in the hearts of those who loved him.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and loyal friend. Jim was a man whose optimism, sense of humor, and colorful spirit brought warmth and light to everyone around him. His smile, wisdom, and steady presence will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those he loved.
He will be remembered most for the love he had for his family and the joy he found in music, sports, and food. Whether through a song, inside joke, or simple moment shared, he had a way of bringing people together and filling their lives with light.
Though his time with us ended far too soon, his love remains - in the lessons taught, the stories told, and the memories and laughter shared will stay with us always. We take comfort in knowing he is at peace in heaven, reunited with his beloved mother and father. His spirit lives on in the lives he shaped and the love he gave so freely. His love and laughter will remain with us always.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Werkley; son James Werkley III; daughter Brittany Naim (spouse Alfi Naim), two grandchildren; sister Margie Doran (spouse Harry Doran); sister-in-law; brother-in-law and three nieces; who will carry his memory and love for music with them forever.
A Memorial Visitation will be held to honor his love for life on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 5:00 - 6:00pm at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Mantua, NJ 08051. Memorial Service will follow at 6:00pm at the funeral home. Disposition to be private.
