James White Obituary
James Roland White, age 72, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023, at North Okaloosa Medical Center in Crestview, Florida. He was born June 25, 1950, in Bonifay, Florida to James White and Naomi Lee White. After high school, James proudly served his country in the United States Army, serving two terms in Vietnam. Suffering injury from enemy forces, he was recognized and awarded three distinguished medals: Purple Heart, Silver Star, and Bronze Medal. He was a plumber by trade, until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Diane White.
James is survived by two sons, Keith Gilbert and Larry White; his life companion, Earlene Johnson; one sister, Margaret Lee Wright; two uncles, Charles Lee and wife Geneva and Samuel Lee and wife Shirley; grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, April 6, 2023, beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 State Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida, 32433.
Arrangements and services are under the direction of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home.
