James "Jim" Widener, of Columbia PA passed away peacefully at home on Thursday September 4, 2025. He was the husband of Kathy Widener whom he has shared life with the past 35 years, he was the son of the late Vivian and Paul Denton

Jim was a lifelong resident of Columbia who proudly served in the Marine Corps and retired from Harley Davidson after many years of employment. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, watching movies at home or in movie theaters, reading books of many interests, sitting on the porch relaxing with himself and/or with family. He talked highly of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who he adored immensely as well as his pet bird Smokey.

Jim will be greatly missed and loved by his wife Kathy, his children; Jamie (Stephanie), Christopher (Amy), Nicole (Deron), Dawn (Mike), Jody (Eric) and Joey. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A private family gathering for Jim will be held later, per his request.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.

He enjoyed deep sea fishing, watching movies at home or in movie theaters, reading books of many interests, sitting on the porch relaxing with himself and/or with family.
