Mr. James E. "Jimmy" Williams, Jr., 63, died Thursday morning (March 23, 2023) at his daughter's residence in Blackshear after an extended illness.
He was born February 21, 1960 in Savannah to the late James E. Williams, Sr. and Deborah Eugenia Scott White. A United States Marine Corp Veteran, Jimmy was a self-employed contractor who owned and operated J&J Builders. He built many homes and restaurants in Waycross including Fuji's, and remodeled Cavagnaro's and Rodeo Mexican Restaurant.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Glenda K. Harrison; and two brothers, Vernon Strickland and Douglas E. Williams.
Survivors include his daughter, Natasha Pryor (Jonathon); the mother of his daughter, Laurie Williams; three grandchildren, Jackson Wall, Abby Wall and Ethan Pryor; siblings, Drenda Vela (Ramiro), Brenda Gaye Morris, Janie Williams, and James E. Williams III; special nieces and nephews, Nikki Strickland, Abril Vela, Rhyder Smart, Dreama Smart, Landon Smart and David Williams; two special cousins, Jerome Williams and Earl Williams; and special friend, Matt Smart.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday (March 25, 2023) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made "In Memory of Jimmy" at the link below.
