James Edward Williams

James Edward Williams, 73 of Ranson, WV passed away February 10, 2026 at Frederick Crossing in Frederick, MD.

Born December 19, 1952 in Washington, DC, he was raised by his adoptive parents, the late George Hunter Lacy, Sr. and Monteray Runyon Lacy.

Jimmy was the Pastor of Grace Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church in Martinsburg, WV.

Jimmy retired from Harpers Ferry Water Works with over 25 years of service. He had a love for tractors and gifted several small tractors to children.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Shirley, at home, three daughters, Brenda Williams, Shirley Jean "Chico" Williams and Angela Williams, six grandchildren, John, Chelsea, Jordan, Heaven, Adriana and Hallee, eight great grandchildren, one sister, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Later in life he was blessed to be united with his biological family of one brother and four sisters.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six sisters; five brothers; and one biological sister, Rena Sullivan.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Grace Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church, 73 Burkhart Lane, Martinsburg, WV 25404, with Reverend Russell Wright officiating.
