James Glenn Wills

James Glenn Wills, 62 years of age, better known as "Jimmy" to his friends and family, passed away on January 9, 2026, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN.
He was born on January 29, 1963, in Dickson, TN, to the late Glenn and Floyce Etta (Fowlkes) Wills.
Jimmy lived a life marked by a deep appreciation for nature, a passion for culinary arts, and a spirit that was both gentle and resilient, and a huge love for his family. Jimmy had a love for the outdoors, spending countless hours fishing in the tranquil waters of Tennessee, hunting in the lush forests, and hiking the scenic trails, enjoying the scenery and mushroom hunting. His connection to the earth was further manifested in his green thumb. Jimmy's vegetable garden was a source of great personal joy. The harvest from his garden provided not only sustenance for his table but also a bounty he generously shared with everyone. Jimmy was a master in the kitchen. He had a natural talent for combining flavors and a knack for creating hearty, comforting meals. Above all, Jimmy was a man of faith. His Godly nature was the cornerstone of his existence, guiding his actions and interactions with those around him. His kindness was as much a part of him as his steadfastness. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children,Erica (Bryan) Cannon, Justin (Jenny) Wills, MaKenna Wills, Kealan Wills, and Devon Wills; grandchildren, Wyatt, Christian, Randall, Carter, Leam, Emmi, Jack, Jay, and Maddie; siblings, Kathy (Willie) Hooper, Randy (Mary) Wills, and Jeff Wills; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Gathering will be Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Dickson Funeral Home & Cremation Center from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M.
