James WILLSIE

1942 - 2024

WILLSIE, James Donald 82, of Lutz, FL passed away August 5, 2024 after a hard fought battle with Dementia. Jim was born March 16, 1942 to Donald and Dorthy Willsie in Ontario, Canada. After graduating from Fort Erie High School in 1961, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he learned skills in computer programing and data processing. After leaving the Marines, he used these skills working until retirement with IBM. Although his career was in the computer industry, there wasn't anything he couldn't do. He could take a car engine apart, build anything out of wood, repair more than your average handyman; he even built an airplane in his garage. He loved to be outside working. Jim leaves behind his wife, Joan and 3 children and their spouses, Todd Willsie (Jeannie), Tracy Willsie (Ken) and Tammi Sells (Duane). He also leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Tyler, Jack and Logan; and 2 sisters, Carol Ann AND Gail. Services will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 1 PM at Dobies Funeral Home in Tarpon Springs, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice.
