James Alexander Wise "Fat Jack" of Prosperity, South Carolina was the son of Dottie Lou Wise and James Elbert Jackson. Mr. Wise departed this earthly life on Monday, July 14. 2025.
Mr. Wise was a graduate of Mid-Carolina High School. He was employed with Whitaker Floor Covering, Inc in Newberry for many years. He enjoyed fishing and visiting family and friends. He also loved rooting for the Washington Commanders and the Clemson Tigers.
Mr. Wise was predeceased by his great grandparents, Thomas and Neomia Wise; paternal grandparents, Jessie L. Kibler and Azalee Dominick; brothers, Javoka Toland and James Swittenburg.
To those left to cherish his memories includes his parents, grandmother, Jessie Hawkins, siblings, Tyrone Wise (Tisha), Debra Wise, Christy Wise, Patrick Burton, Bianca Davenport, Charvis Toland, Natasha Praylow, Brenisha Jackson, Elresha Billie (Quentin); God brother, Rankel Coleman; devoted cousins, Thomas Wise, III and Marshall Wise; devoted nephew, Tymone Abrams and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, July 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Shiloh AME Church. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Public viewing will be from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, July 20, 2025.
