James Witkowski
James Witkowski, age 57, passed away unexpectedly, while at work, on Monday, November 3,2025. He was the loving husband and best friend of Sandra Cook. Born in Monroe, on August 25, 1968, he was the son of the late Frank and Donna Witkowski.
In addition to Sandy, his wife of 20 years, who he loved endlessly, Jim leaves behind his stepdaughter, Amanda Solla of Waterbury, CT, stepson, Thomas Golymbieski of Prospect, CT, his grandchildren, Mackenzie and Clayton of Waterbury, CT. His sister, Mary Witkowski from Shelton, CT, his brother, John and wife, Kim from New York, and brother, Joseph and wife, Carolyn from Prospect, CT. He also leaves father-in-law, Francis Cook from Prospect, CT and in-laws, Cheryl Cooper and husband, Charlie, Susan Yammine and husband, Ed, and Father Raymond Cook, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Witkowski.
Jim's celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 5:00-7:30pm, with a service from 7:30-8:00pm, at Maiorano Funeral Home, 95 Willow St., Waterbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jim's name may be made to MrCsVoice Nonverbal Autism and AAC Community Inc. This organization was created for his grandson to bring awareness to nonverbal autism and AAC communication to establish a fund in memory of Jim to ensure autistic children have the ability to experience "farm life".
