James Wright Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Homes & Crematory - Newark on May 2, 2024.
James Robert "Bob" Wright, age 74, of Newark, DE, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.
Born in Bloomsburg, PA on June 6, 1949, he was a son of the late John Leonard and Isabel (Redline) Wright. Bob proudly served our country as a part of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a driver for many years for Hillside Heating & Oil and the owner and operator of his successful All-Wright Mowing company.
Bob was known for his love of coffee and naps. He was the epitome of a family man. He often enjoyed racing quarter midgets with his son and buying candy for his grandchildren always brought him great joy too. More than anything else, he treasured quality time spent with his loved ones and the memories gained while doing so.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne Kay Wright and sister, Sylvia Jane Stahl. He is survived by children, Tabitha Lynne Heredia (Scott) and Michael G. Wright (Megan); grandchildren, Parker Wright, Matthew Shoemaker and Madisyn Wright; siblings; John Leonard Wright Jr, Tom Wright (Nancy), Teresa Porter, Jeff Wright (Rita) and Kay Oakes (Pat); and many nieces and nephews.
A committal service will begin at 10 am on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery chapel, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob's memory to Faithful Friends, 165 Airport Road, New Castle, DE 19720 or online by clicking here.

I'll never forget the first time I went to Dunkin Donuts with Bob and when the cashier handed him his small coffee with cream & sugar his reply was "Thank me". He was a jokester, always saying something to make you laugh. He was a true gem.
