Funeral services for James “Dane” Wright, 64, will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Clayton Cemetery in Clayton, Texas. A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Brother James McMenis from the Word of God Ministries.
Dane was born December 28, 1960, in Floresville, Texas to James Cullen Wright and Shirley Ann Hurst Wright and passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025, in Shreveport.
Dane loved the Lord, his family and his friends. He worked in the oilfield for over 40 years. In his personal time, he loved to write songs and buy Bibles and give them out to people. He enjoyed attending Word of God Ministries with his family, reading his Bible and worship music. His favorite was quartet gospel music. He had a love of sports and coaching kids back in the day.
Dane was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life, his wife, Camessa Terral Wright; children, James Dale Wright “Buzz”, Joshua Dane Wright, Candie Wright, James Dalton Wright, Brenda Grubb, Trevor Grubb, Tiffany Gomez-Grubb (wife of Trevor Grubb), Jason Lindberg (fiancé of Brenda Grubb); grandchildren, Braylen Wright, Jarrett Wright, and Adyn Wright.
Honoring Dane as pallbearers will be Buzz Wright, Josh Wright, Jarrett Wright, Dalton Wright, Trevor Grubb, Jason Lindberg, Mike Terral and Shane Terral.
