Jim was a 1969 graduate of Franklin High School, a graduate of Louise Obici School of Nursing, and was a Sergeant in the US Marine Corps. He was a retired Registered Nurse from Union Camp/International Paper and Sentara Obici and worked for many years in the family funeral home.
