James Lloyd Young went to be with his Lord surrounded by family on Saturday January 24th, 2026 at the age of 86. He was born on August 6th, 1939 to Lloyd and Coleto Young. He spent most of his life in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. There he met his high school sweetheart Lois Droke. They were married on Halloween in 1958, they were married for 67 years. They had 3 boys; Lloyd, David, and Christopher. Among the many jobs he had in his time, working at Tinker AFB was his favorite out of them all. He was able to travel to Europe many times in the 27 years he worked with them. He served in the Oklahoma Air National Guard. In his free time he loved to hunt, fish, and camp. Although he wasn't a carpenter; he built a home, and buildings for his boat storage, he was a tinkerer. He loved watching western and survival shows. He loved to read about cowboys, fishing, surviving in the wild, and grilling. James had a bright personality, bringing a smile to everyone around him. His jokes, his stories, and his stubbornness always lit up the room. His love for his family was unlimited.

He is survived by his wife Lois, sons Lloyd and wife Rhonda, and Christopher, sister Donna Ellenwood, grandchildren Mindy Sylvester and husband Michael, and Nicholas Young, great grand children Kyla Richardon and husband Melvin, Connor and Carson Sylvester and Nixon Young.
