I met Jim while we both worked with the Fix JB Sports Capital Campaign 2009-2015. What a privilege to know Mayor Jim, who gave so much to his community. The Fix JB Sports yard sign effort was his brainchild. It was very effective in raising awareness. We used to talk alot about his summer vacations in Nags Head, NC, where my family also went. I'll never forget one time around Christmas, I ducked in the little state liquor store on the square. When I came out, there was Mayor Jim on a ladder putting up wreaths along Main Street. I told my family, "Mercersburg is such a small town, you can't even sneak in the liquor store without the mayor knowing about it!". Thank you Jim, and rest in heavenly peace with the love of your life, Linda.
