Jim was the embodiment of an “All American Husband and Dad”, whose unwavering enthusiasm and zest for life inspired those around him. From cheering on the Eagles and Phillies with an ice cold beer in hand, to being the kind of Dad other kids admired and respected. Calling Jim a hard worker would be a gross understatement. A proud Air Force veteran through and through, to his career with Simplix, to working hard at Maple Shade Lowes in his later years, Jim's tireless work ethic was a shining example to all. He was rarely idle. He was a proud member of the 25 Club and an invaluable asset to the pool team there. Him and his wife, Dolly, often shot pool together as well as hung out there with family and friends as a hobby they both cherished. Jim met Dolly through his sister, and soon the two would be traveling around while Jim was in the Air Force. While his daughters, Dawn and Melissa, were growing up, Jim was a firm but loving Dad, always teaching them valuable life lessons and instilling in them a strong sense of discipline. Later in life, Jim found his true calling as a Poppy. He regaled his grandkids with stories of his younger years and never missed spending time with them. Jim's legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched.
He is survived by his wife Dolly, his children Dawn (Dan) Shields, and Melissa Zobel, his grandchildren Erin Carey (Noure), Joey Clayton, Hunter Clayton, and Mikey Clayton, his siblings Patricia (Ed) Cresong and Joseph Zobel (late wife Patricia), along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
