Jamette Rebecca Collins, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on December 10, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of strength, love, and unwavering work ethic. She was born on March 17, 1963, to Barbara and Louis Ellis the Jr., As a young single mother Barbara instilled in her the values of perseverance, humility, and compassion that defined her life.

Jamette was a proud graduate of Langley High School and Duff's Business with an associate degree, carried her determination into every chapter of her journey. She was known as an exceptionally hard-working woman, often outworking men and never shying away from honest labor. Her hands told the story of sacrifice, resilience, and commitment to providing for her family.

She married Florian Collins Sr., has four children DeVona, Florian, Jonathan, and Joshua. Jamette's love extended far beyond herself; she was the foundation of her family and the quiet strength behind generations.

She was a proud grandmother to eleven granddaughters and four grandsons, and a great-grandmother of three. Jamette lovingly embraced her grandbabies with warmth, protection, and unconditional love she gave her family. The mother elephant!

Jamette is survived by her younger brother, Louis Ellis the Ill and her younger sister. Janine Ellis, along with numerous extended family members and friends who were blessed by her presence.

Above all, Jamette Rebecca Collins will be remembered for her fierce love, her tireless work ethic, and her selfless heart. She gave without expecting anything in return, stood strong through life's hardest moments, and left an imprint on everyone she encountered. Her legacy lives on through her children. grandchildren, and all those who felt her love.

She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
