God gifted the McCown family on October 19, 1980 with the birth of Jamica Latoya McCown.
She was born to Kathy McCown and Ralph Williams and reared by Willie Jackson. She departed this earthly life on Monday, August 18, 2025.
Jamica accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age. Jamica was a member of Hopewell AME Church and Spirit and Truth Church.
Jamica was a person full of life. She had a passion for singing, joking, making others laugh and helping others when needed.
Jamica joined in holy matrimony to the love of her life Nehemiah Joiner on August 26, 2017. She was the highlight of Nehemiah’s life.
After marriage, she became a member of The Father’s House Outreach Ministries, Florence SC with her beloved husband.
Jamica was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jimmie and Josphine McCown; nephew, Kevshawne McCown.
Jamica leaves to cherish her fond memories are her husband, Nehemiah Joiner of the home; mother, Kathy McCown of Florence, SC; three sisters, Tama McCown and Chiquita McCown of Andrews, SC, and Liquita McCown of Hartsville, SC; a special niece, Serenity Sims of Hartsville, SC; mother in-law, Karlenye Joiner of Florence, SC; two aunts, Shirley (Calvester) Rodgers of Nesmith, SC and Leshwuan McCown of Stuckey, SC; one uncle, James Lee (Kim) Brewington of Stuckey, SC; four sister in-laws, Krystal Alyer, Joyce Joiner and Lisa (Will) Edwards of Florence, SC and Brenda Alyer White of GA; one brother in-law, Leon Alyer of New York; step-father, Willie Jackson of Andrews, SC, special best friends that’s close to her heart: Loanna, Haley, Shawmae, Sheenah, Qonya, Katrina, and Dee, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
