JAMIE LEE DAVIS was born on March 4th, 1971, in Benton Harbor, MI to Lenna Hill and Paul Hicks. He was adopted and raised by his mother and father Bertha Mae & James (Jimmie) Davis. He was fortunate enough to have a 3rd mother named Linnie Davis through a 2nd marriage with James (Jimmie) Davis.
Jamie as a young child professed his love for the church within him and preached his first sermon at the age of 16yrs old. He also wrote a speech on "Black History" in High School which he received a standing ovation.
Jamie enlisted in the Army after graduation in 1990 where he served multiple years. He enjoyed his life after serving in the army with his children, family, and friends. He had a passion for music and playing the guitar. He wrote and recorded his own music with his music mentor in Chicago, Illinois. A list of his music includes: "SISTAH, Lemonade Man, Back in The Day, People of The Sun, Is Anybody Listening" just to name a few. Jamie is also a writer; he wrote his own book called (The Definition of a Broke-Ass). He also had his own Television spot on CANN TV on the South side of Chicago, IL where he talked about issues on the "The Melanated Race, The Oppressions Against Our People," and many more topics. Jamie had many important people on his show like someone from the Senate, and the famous Dr. Umar Johnson just to name a few. He even debated a "White Supremacist" He was an Ordained Bishop where he also Preached many sermons.
Jamie (Dawah Yisrael) Davis leaves to cherish his memories, his children: sons, Jamie (Junior) Davis Dominique Maggard, Yosiyah S. Yisrael; daughters: Jamese Paree Davis, Aaliyah K. Yisrael, Nizingha Odobe; One Grandchild, Benjamin Lucc Davis. Brothers, John Hill, Brian Hill, Laron Hill, Corey Longs, Wendell Conley, Pernell Lamar Conley, Ricky Hill, Paul Hicks Jr., and Maurice Anton; sisters: Yvonne (James) Moore, Carolyn (Carl) Stansberry, Marilyn Davis, Tolesha Davis, and Alice Thomas; Sister N Laws: Rose Conley, Cecilia J Hill, Lanie Kasing Hill, Lilly Scott, Kenya Williams, Kenyatta Williams, and Jamia Scott; His Fiancé' Delfene McNeal; stepchildren, Bruce Roman II, Diondre Roman, Starcha McNeal; Special uncle Arister Hicks.
A host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins; last but not least; years of many very dedicated associates, friends, and social media followers.
Preceded in death; by his parents Bertha Mae and James (Jimmie) Davis, daughter Jamese Paree Davis, brother; Pernell Conley sister; Alice Thomas, sister n law Rose Conley and his grandparents George and Annie Hill
