I remember doing my intern at Hollywood Central. Fran was the Principal and Jamie the AP. I can remember just feeling comfortable and at ease in Jamie's presence. She would always address me by name; although; I was simply a ship sailing through, I simply remembered her as being a genuine individual.

You have taught me a lot about peer relationships in the work environment. Treat everyone like family. You left this world too soon. You'll remain Forever in our hearts and minds.

Jamie was the most wonderful person! She loved my son and watched over him as if he was her own! She always had a beautiful smile and kind words. She was positive & encouraging. Numbed by the loss of my 2nd "sister". Jamie was my support, comedic relief, mentor and inspiration while together at HCE. So many memories and stories I could share. Ms.Maradiaga was a beloved principal of our school she treated the students like they were her own children she will be forever missed

I still remember riding around Hollywood Central on Mr.Bruce's Golf cart with her. She always let me be me and teach PE my way. I put up her Hurricane shutters and she made my wife and I an awesome dinner. Loved her son Mike called him Maddog. Wonderful lady.. Gone to soon.

May perpetual light shine upon Jamie as she rests with God. May comfort, peace, love surround her family, her schools, and all of us who experienced her gifts of joy, teaching, leadership. We celebrate her beautiful life.

So deeply saddened to hear this news. We looked forward every year to her Christmas card/picture of the boys. Our daughter was her boys babysitter, and she was such a wonderful woman full of joy and smiles.

Our community of educators has lost a true leader whose determination to see that every child is successful and respected served as a model for everyone she came in contact with. I never saw Jamie without a smile on her face and kind a word to express to all she touched. My thoughts are with both her personal and professional families. Patrick and I are deeply saddened at the news of Jamie's passing. As assistant principal at Hollywood Central when Patrick was a fifth grade teacher, Jamie was more like a friend than a boss. She welcomed me into the HCE family at every event I attended with Patrick as if I were like a sister to her. And how the students loved her. They were always flocking around her for hugs and to brag about their latest accomplishments. What a profound loss to the Croissant Park community. Our heartfelt prayers go out to her boys and her entire family. May God hold you all in the palm of His hand, until we meet again.

So sorry for the families loss as well as the students, teachers & staff. Last year my son had a rough year with bulling and he sat with her some days from my understanding and had lunch with her. She was a great mentor and exceptional Principle. My heart aches for her kids that are so young.
