Jamie Mc Millan

Janie McMillan was born on March 23, 1928 to the union of the late George Buster Turner and the late Mabel (Rogers) Turner in Bethune, South Carolina. She attended school in Southern Pines, NC. She was married to the late Leroy McMillan in which fifteen children born during this union. She moved to New Jersey in 1970 residing in Paterson until relocating to Wayne, New Jersey in 2009. She was a Domestic Engineer for over fifty years. She was a member of Hope of Deliverance Holiness Church of God in Paterson, NJ. On January 13, 2011, when everything seemed quiet, peaceful and still, God whispered in Janie McMillan’s ear, “come home and rest my child, for this is my will.” She was predeceased by her husband, one brother, George Turner, two sisters, Carolyn Mines and Catherine Pullen, two grandchildren, Donella McMillan and Craig K. McMillan and one great grandchild, Daval Cox. She leaves to cherish her memories: eight daughters, Mary Lee McMillan of Little Ferry, NJ, Delois Lee of Forestville, MD, Barbara McMillan, Audrey Williams (David), Felicia McMillan of Paterson, NJ, Sonya McMillan and Diane Sheppard (William) of Clifton, NJ; seven sons, Hughlane McMillan (Norma) of San Diego, CA, Leroy L. McMillan (Yolanda) of Glen Burnie, MD, Calvin McMillan (Robin) of Walden, NY, Robert McMillan of Hawthrone, NJ, Glenn McMillan (Patricia) and Maryland McMillan of Paterson, NJ; one sister, Carolyn Liles (James) of Washington DC; three sisters-in-law, Rev. Dr. Alice Crawford of Paterson, NJ, Juanita Pearson of Queens, NY and Luella Turner of Southern Pines, NC; twenty-six grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; five adopted sons, Charles Wilson, Erhan Kucuk, MD, Emmanuel Adydin, MD, Rev. Alfred Steele and John Baldwin of New Jersey; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
