Jamie Torres was born on August 26, 1974, He passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026, at the age of 51.
Jamie was a loving son, husband, father, brother, and friend. He found true joy in the great outdoors, whether fishing, hunting, camping, horseback riding, or taking long rides and exploring new places with his family. He cherished the simple moments spent together most of all. Jamie was also a devoted Buffalo Bills fan, and his unwavering loyalty to the team was well known to all who knew him. Jamie worked for over 25 years as an electrician and was a true handyman, known for his many skills and his ability to fix or create just about anything. He had a big heart and would do anything for anyone, never hesitating to lend a helping hand. His generosity and love will live on through his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.
Jamie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Elizabeth Casados and Anita Torres, uncles Michael and Gilbert Casados and by his niece, Analisa Alicia Martinez
He is survived by his beloved wife, Darlene Torres; their two sons, Kevin and Mikey Torres; his parents, Jose “Jimmy” and Eloida Torres; his sisters, Charlotte Martinez and Lucia Fernandez (Adam); and his in-laws, Gilbert and Precilla Martinez. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Joshua and Jacob Martinez, Mia and Brianna Fernandez (Domonic), Jose and Santiago Herrera, Alexia Martinez, and his niece and goddaughter, Abigail Torres (Jesus). He is further survived by his brothers-in-law, Lloyd (Sandra) and Gary Martinez; his favorite aunt, Angie Casados; his loyal dog, Scotty; countless friends, and many extended family members who loved him dearly.
Jamie is loved by many and will be missed by many.
Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Suazo, Joseph “JoJo” Casados, Gilbert Casados, and Daniel Mondragon.
A rosary will be held at 9:00 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026, at St. Francis de Asís Catholic Church in Ranchos de Taos, New Mexico.
