Jan Elizabeth Petit Grimm, age 64, of Dixon, passed on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling after a short illness.
Jan was born September 19, 1957 in Dixon the daughter of Jack and Mavis (Beach) Petit. She married Gerry Grimm on April 14, 1998 in Las Vegas, NV. Jan was employed at several state agencies and retired from IDOT after 34 years. While retired, she enjoyed being harassed by both grandchildren and had a passion for scratch off lottery tickets.
She is survived by her husband, Gerry Grimm of Dixon; one sister, Connie (Jerry) Reed of Buda, TX; two brothers, Jon Petit of Woodridge, IL and Scott Petit of Houston, TX; one step son, Blake (Emily) Grimm; and two grandchildren, Remmi and Reece.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Chuck Worman.
The funeral will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Dixon. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.
A memorial has been established.
