Jan "Janny" Dolan Obituary
Jan “Janny” K. Dolan, 78 of Palos Heights, IL passed away April 13, 2023 with her soulmate Jerry by her side.
She was born to the late Norman and Gladys Wintermantel, August 19,1944, in Chicago, IL. Jan graduated from Carol Sandburg High School in 1962, married her high school sweetheart and became the BEST wife, mom, mother-in-law, grandma and great grandma ever!
She lived her life in Palos Heights and was a joy to everyone who knew her. She was always happy, kind and ready to lend a helping hand! She was a great athlete in bowling, softball & volleyball. She loved to laugh, gamble, smoke & be outside. Janny lived her life to the fullest and in her own way, which we all loved about her. She made a wonderful home for her family and welcomed everyone to enjoy it as well. This world will be a little dimmer without her.
She is survived by her beloved husband of sixty years Gerald, her children Lisa (Marty) Rogers, Jerry (Hodge) Dolan, grand dog Twinkie.
Her grandchildren Ashley (Matt) Sander, Patrick Rogers (Diana Souza).
Her great grandchildren Blake, Weston and Magnolia Sander.
She is also survived by her dear sister Linda Wintermantel, many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Karen Peterson.
Visitation Tuesday, April 18, 2023, 9:00 am until time of chapel prayers at 11:00 am at Kerry Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, 7020 W. 127th Street, Palos Heights, IL. Proceeding to Palos Evangelical Lutheran Church, 12424 S. 71st Ct, Palos Heights, IL 60463 for an 11:30 am service.
Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials to Palos Evangelical Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
