Jan Arlene McCammond, 66, of Rockford, IL passed away Tuesday, November 11th, 2025, peacefully in her sleep, at home, after a long illness. Jan was born in Rockford, IL on March 22, 1959, to James Harry McCammond and Dr. Arlene LaVern Jackson and was a graduate of Rockford East High School. Jan spent many years working for Elco Consumer Products and Rockford Products, tirelessly always providing for her family, a work ethic passed down to her sons.
Jan grew up in Rockford and often made it a point when driving around town to tell her sons, I remember what used to be here, or there. A lifelong history lesson typically summed up in a short car ride. Jan worked hard for what she had, making sure that her sons always had what they needed. She believed in thriving, and not just survival. Jan believed in life lessons when she spoke and in parting with this world, she taught her last one; Love your family, your neighbor, your friend; for sometimes, there isn’t a tomorrow. We will forever miss you and the impact you’ve made on our lives will always be remembered.
Jan is survived by her partner of many years, Scott Little, a godsend that took on her entire world to care for her when she needed it most; children, Cory and Jeremy Fallis; six grandchildren; brother, James (Jennifer) McCammond; numerous nieces, and friends.
Predeceased by her parents and beloved dog Kendall.
The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for their attentive compassion and care.
There will be a private family service.
