Jane Mallicote Alexander passed away on September 4, 2025. She was born on December 9, 1938, in Gainesville, Texas to Everett Mallicote and Ora (Gorham) Mallicote. Jane married John Alexander on June 22, 1974, in Valley View, Texas. He preceded her in death on March 26, 1989. Jane was also preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Mallicote and Max Mallicote, two sisters, Ann Mallicote Hutchison and Sue Mallicote, nephew, David Hutchison and her parents.
A graduate of Valley View High School, Jane worked at the Gainesville National Bank, the City of Valley View and retired as Assistant Cooke County Treasurer in 2006.
Jane was a member of the First Baptist Church of Valley View where she served as pianist, organist and church clerk for many years.
Jane is survived by sister-in-law, Sue Mallicote, Quitman, Texas; nephews, Charles Mallicote, Honey Grove, Texas; Doug Hutchison, Gainesville, Texas; nieces, Melody Lundquist of Irving, Texas and Beverly Noah of Justin, Tx; numerous great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Service will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 at 1:00pm, First Baptist Church, Valley View, Texas. Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm before the service. Interment will be the Valley View Cemetery.
