Jane Elizabeth (nee Reilly) Amato

AMATO Jane Elizabeth (nee Reilly) of Philadelphia, passed away on August 3rd 2020 at the age of 76. Jane was the loving wife of Leo Robert Amato for 53 wonderful years. Jane was a devoted mother to Christopher M. (Nicole), Jennifer L. Volpe (Joseph), and Grace E. Shallow (John); adoring Mimi to Madelyn Volpe and Anthony Volpe; Loving sister to Marguerite Stamato (Anthony) and James Reilly (Mary). Jane is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Jane was born in South Philly to Edward and Elizabeth Reilly and was a proud graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School. She loved children, Philly sports, decorating for the holidays, and Elvis. Jane was happiest when surrounded by her loving family. Jane will always be remembered for her selflessness, humility, and quick wit. Relatives and friends are invited to Jane's Mass of Christian Burial on Friday August 7th at St. Cecilia Catholic Church (535 Rhawn Street, Phila. 19111) at 9:45AM for mass at 10AM.; interment at Lawnview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jane's memory to the Alzheimer's Association would be greatly appreciated.
