Charlotte, North Carolina - Jane Faires Brock, "Nana," died peacefully on Tuesday, April 16th, 2024, at home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Brock, in 2015.
She loved her family, friends, little children, teaching, books, music, singing off-key, travel, and her favorite spot, Blowing Rock, NC.
We will remember her for her most quirky personality, kindness, and her love of life.
She leaves to cherish her memory Starr and Mitch Carpenter, Tiffany Carpenter and her husband Tony Bookman, Taylor Carpenter and his girlfriend Tracey Pitocchelli, and Randy and Arthur.
Fly away little bird. You are finally free. Til we meet again...
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project.
At Nana's request, there will be no funeral. Burial will be private.

I was sad to learn of Cousin Jane's passing, but am gratified to know that she enjoyed such a long life filled with joy and the love of all who knew her. We had frequent conversations (she did most of the talking-LOL) about family matters, and for several years had a tradition of going together to attend "Scottish Sunday" at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church and to visit our departed kin at the cemetery there.
