Jane H. Dahlen

Jane H. Dahlen, 65, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 in Libertyville, IL. She was born October 13, 1960 in Gary, IN and was formerly of Merrillville, IN, living in Buffalo Grove, IL for the past 28 years. Jane received her bachelor's degree in political science from Loyola University & received her juris doctor degree from Chicago Kent Law School and was a former attorney at the National Association of Realtors and retired from Astellas Pharmaceutical in 2015. She took great pride in being a donor for Leader Dogs for the Blind and enjoyed reading, cooking, traveling, especially with her family to Disney World, Disney Cruises, and to their family home in Tucson Arizona.

Surviving is her husband of 38 years, John Dahlen; son, Ryan Dahlen; mother-in-law, Celia Dahlen; 3 brothers-in-law, Michael (Dawn), Steven (Diane Burch) & Christopher Dahlen and by many loving nephews & nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William "Bill" & Geraldine "Gerrie" Holmes.

A visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. followed by a service at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176, one block west of Milwaukee Ave.) in Libertyville. Memorials would be appreciated to Leader Dogs for the Blind in Rochester Hills, MI, wwwleaderdog.org.
