Jane Leslie (DeBord) Cline, 78, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished member of the Centralia, Kansas, community, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the Eastridge Skilled Nursing Facility in Centralia.
Jane was born on December 10, 1946, in Wetmore, Kansas, to Joseph Debord and Margaret (Hurst) DeBord. She attended and graduated from Kearney High School in Kearney, Nebraska. Jane then attended Mills College in Oakland, California. Despite being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis during her college years, Jane demonstrated remarkable resilience and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado.
After graduating from college, Jane moved to San Francisco, California, where she began her career in the banking industry. While in San Francisco, Jane met her future husband, Clifford Henderson Cline. They were married in 1971 and enjoyed 42 years of marriage together.
Jane was a proud member of the Philanthropic Educational Organization, the Daughters of the Nile, and the International Order of the Eastern Star.
Throughout her life, Jane exemplified love and perseverance and was committed to making a difference in the lives of others. Her life touched many lives.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Cliff, and her sister, Debbi.
Jane is survived by her two daughters, Molly (Max) Robert and Laura Cline; her five grandchildren, Dana Cline, Hadley Smith, Henry Smith, Oliver Robert, and Daphne Robert; and her two sisters, Libbi and Vicki. She was also blessed with an extended family in the Bachman and DeBord families in Centralia.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at the Centralia Cemetery in Centralia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Eastridge Skilled Nursing Facility in Centralia, sent in care of the Popkess Memorial Chapel, 814 Castle Street, Seneca, Kansas 66538.
