Sweetheart, April 30 of 2014 marks 4 years since you went to your Heavenly home. You are dearly missed by our family and many others that knew you. Wish you could have been here to celebrate Mike's getting married yesterday.
Your husband Dave.

Mom, I've been missing you so much. We had our first Thanksgiving without you. Everyone was there. I tried to make dad a pecan pie like you always made, but it wasn't the same. We also forgot to take the Thanksgiving family picture. Still I know you would have loved it and you were on all of our minds. Next year we'll take the photo. I promise.

Sweetheart, today would have been our 47th. Thanks for the great memories that you gave me and our family over these years. You are now in a place without pain. I know that your wish would be for me to move on with life and find happiness and find ways to relieve the loneliness. With the help of family and special friends, that is what I am striving to do.

We will remember Jane for her quiet and loving manner. Our interactions with her were always special. Our grandsons always had a special fondness for Miss Jane, as she went about her task of caring for them and offering her friendship during their years at Christ the King. Our hearts hurt for your profound loss.

Dave and family -
Jane, Ann, Joyce and I had a special bond because we were the Okabena Finnerns, not the Sioux Valley ones! Jane also, unbeknownst to her, helped me get a summer job during college. She, during some of her summers while at the U of MN, had been a cook at Hillaway-on-Ten-Mile-Lake, a girls camp in Hackensack, MN (Bemidji area). A number of years later, when I was also at the U of MN I applied for and got a job as cook at Hillaway because Kay Cramm (owner) remembered Jane was such a good person - and a good cook!
Memories are enduring. Treasure them all.

She is watching over all of you. We have many fond memories of Jane, Ann and their Mom & Dad - visiting on their farm. God Bless always, Irwin & Mary Lou Denker

Dave, The service at Pathway for Jane was beautiful. I did not know Jane, but anyone who spends a life time nurturing our youth, has a heart of gold. She will be missed greatly. But Dave, we need you as well. We need your help, and hope, that in a very small way, we can help fill the void you are now feeling. The Redlands Benchwarmers is there for you. Hope to see you Tuesday night.

Growing up playing baseball with Mike, I can't help but remember both Mr. and Mrs. Eason there at Community Field. I think it was their second home. They didn't miss a game. They were there with their lawn chairs supporting Mike and all his friends, even if we were on opposing teams. They always had a smile and words of encouragement. Truly good people. She has touched so many lives, she will be missed. To the Eason's, my thoughts and prayers are with you and may all these wonderful testimonies help you find peace in this difficult time.

We thought so much of Jane, even though we only lived near them for a short time in Redlands and met them at Tinker AFB OK. The Easons made us feel at home in Calif. when we moved there and not so alone in a new place. We are so glad to have kept in touch all these years and always remember Jane as a quiet, kind, and sharing lady. We will miss her too. Dave and children - God has you in His loving arms.

Jane you will be missed!! I remember seeing you at Christ the King when my babies were small and since then at Pathway Church you would buy movie tickets from me for Woman's ministry. You were such a sweet and loving woman. I will miss seeing you. I am grateful that you are with Jesus and have no more pain and suffering.

Jane was a Godly woman, mother, friend, and wife. She loved her family and her God. Her commitment to loving children and teaching them the love of Jesus was unparalleled. Jane will be missed by all. There will always be empty spot at Pathway Church left by Jane. It was great privilege to be her pastor for more than 17 years.

As one of the Finnern cousins, I always felt we were so lucky to see each other frequently growing up, and were friends as well as relatives. As Jane and I were close in age, we had much to share at the family gatherings. She was always interested in what was happening in my life and had a kindness about her that was very special. I will cherish my memories of her always. God's blessings to her family.

Almost every Monday night for years, Jane and I have carried on long conversations on the phone. We didn't see each other very often, but we grew closer after we'd raised our families, usually talking about their accomplishments, and of course, as mothers, continuing to worry about them. That's what's nice about having a sister. You can laugh or cry and talk about anything. Several times in the last few days, I've caught myself remembering something that I wanted to ask or tell her, and without her, there's already a big void in my life which won't go away.

Kaye & I were saddened by the news of Jane's death. We have fond memories of The Eason's & team bowling at Norton AFB when the AFAA was a very close & caring family of folks. Also, Kaye remembers with much appreciation the visits the Eason's made to the hospital in Riverside when she had her surgery. May God bless you and your family during this time of grief.

Back in 1998, taking a new job after retiring from another, I met Jane Eason at Christ the King Child Care Center. From the start, I felt a certain kinship in that we were both "older" than the rest of the teachers at CTK. It did not take long to find out what kind of person Jane was. At that time I also met Judy McIntyre and we three became good friends. Jane was such a caring, kind person and one you could always talk to about anything. I appreciated her closeness with her daughter, Frances and likened it to the same closeness I had with my youngest daughter. She spoke lovingly of her sons and her grandchildren and of her devoted husband.
Although never a complainer, she amazed me with her strength in suffering through her head and neck pain.
I was so thankful for the friendship she gave to me over the eleven + years we worked together. I know she is at long last free of pain and in the presence of God and the angels. She was a blessing to me and will always remain in my heart and thoughts.

I never had the privilege to meet Jane, being an in-law of the Finnern's, but I had heard a lot of great things about her. We truly missed you coming to the Finnern family reunion last August and knew it was due to Jane being sick. She will truly be missed. You and your family will be continuously in our thoughts and prayers.

HER JOURNEY'S JUST BEGUN
Don't think of her as gone away~
her journey's just begun,
life holds so many facets~
this earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting
from the sorrow and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how she must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of her as living
in the hearts of those she touched.......
for nothing loved is ever lost~
and she was loved so much.

I have great memories of spending many an evening or afternoon at the Eason house studying with Frances in college. Mrs. Eason always had soda and some sort of snack for us. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word for me. I always felt like she made her house a place for me to always feel welcome. Many times, Frances, Mrs. Eason and I could be parked in the living room laughing at a story one of us would tell. As teenagers and young adults I never felt like she was ever in the way, it was fun to have her around while we played games, watched movies, studied, whatever! I will miss you Mrs. Eason. I don't think you had a mean bone in your body, you were truly one of the nicest ladies I ever knew. Thank you for all that you did for me!

You can only have one mother
Patient kind and true;
No other friend in all the world,
Will be the same to you.
When other friends forsake you,
To mother you will return,
For all her loving kindness,
She asks nothing in return.
As we look upon her picture,
Sweet memories we recall,
Of a face so full of sunshine,
And a smile for one and all.
Sweet Jesus, take this message,
To our dear mother up above;
Tell her how we miss her,
And give her all our love.
