Jane Ellen Hill passed away peacefully on February 12th, 2026, of complications from Multiple Myeloma. Born in Chicago, Illinois to Homer and Vinci Jeffries, she spent most of her life in Illinois. She attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison. She later met and married James Hill where they enjoyed time at their cottage in Little Point Sable Michigan. Jane spent a few years in the Hollywood hills of California, then moved back to Illinois when her father started to show signs of Alzheimer's disease. It was then that she got her first Bernese Mountain dog and began to show and breed them. She owned over 100 dogs over her career and at the time of her passing was survived by Aries age 10.5, Louise, age 8, and Geronimo age 2.
