Janie was preceded in death by her Mother Dorothy Brown, her Father John Brown and a nephew John E. Mackey “Mackey”. Janie worked at Suburban Propane and for Juan Ulanday MD. Janie LOVED her family and friends. While she was still mobile, she looked forward to weekly rides to the Burger Barn or to get an ice cream. Janie loved going to the horse shows to watch family show their horses and other friends that showed to catch up on how everyone was doing. She was a two-time Cancer Survivor. She loved making her homemade candies and cookies at the holidays when she was able. Janie was a very strong woman but, some would call her stubborn. She will be greatly missed by all that loved her but, I know she had plenty waiting on her at those pearly gates and to know she is no longer suffering has brought a peace over all our hearts.
She is survived by her daughter Kristy Sturgill and son-in-law Chad Sturgill, her sister, Doris Kinney and brother-in-law Joe Kinney, nephew Michael Kinney, great nieces Liadan Kinney, Brianna Mackey, Emerson Mackey and great nephew James Connor Mackey, great-great niece Isabelle Mackey and great-great nephew John Taylor Mackey, sister Georgia Lunsford and brother-in-law Terry Lunsford, niece Andrea Sexten and her husband Austin Sexten, great niece Lucy Kate Sexten and great nephew William Sexten, nephew Terry Logan Lunsford and his wife Jamie Lunsford. Great nieces Ellie Grace Lunsford and Danielle “Bird” Lunsford, along with other family members and friends.
