Jane Cook Johnson, lovingly known as "Mawmaw Jane" entered into eternal rest on November 10, 2025, with family by her side. Born on July 14, 1947, Jane was a lifelong resident of Heflin, Alabama, where she created a life filled with love, warmth, and faith.
Jane was a devoted mother to her son, Michael Johnson, and a proud grandmother to Kaitlyn (Josh) New and Landon (Madison) Johnson. She adored her five great-grandchildren - Kingsly, Kash, Kruz, Kross, and Kreed - who brought joy to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernice and Ralph Cook; her sister, Jacqueline Cheatwood; and her other siblings, Sonja Cook, Darlene Cook, and Frank Bonner. Jane is survived by her siblings, Jean Bonner, Ralph Cook, and Chris Cook; and her beloved nephews, Terry (Vanessa) Bonner, Nicholas (Victoria) Bonner, Zachary Cheatwood, and Christopher Cook. Jane also has many cousins & other family members.
Jane's life was marked by grace and a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life. She loved attending church, spending time with her good friends, and always had a love for shopping. Known for her impeccable style, Jane took pride in her jewelry collection and always had her hair and makeup beautifully done. Her favorite color was pink, reflecting her loving and bright spirit.
She will forever be remembered for her warm heart, her caring nature, and the love she poured into her family. Her memory will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Mawmaw Jane will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
